  1. Interesting take. Also interesting is that the product (tobacco) is undeniably a threat to the health of the user but remains legal while cannabis, which has shown significantly fewer deleterious effects remains illegal on the federal front and illegal in most states for medical and, certainly, recreational use. Cigarette taxes are important to local and state governments which is why you find few legislators wanting to make the product illegal. What other products can you think of when used, even in moderation, cause such harm and remain legal?
